Brass Quintet

$33.35

Bandera For Brass is a three-movement work that was inspired by a performance the composer attended by a brass quintet from Pershing's Own Army band at the 1997 Colorado Music Educators' Conference. Little did she know that several months later, she would serendipitously meet the trombonist from that quintet and that he would choose to premiere the work. Designed to stretch the players, the piece is a complex tapestry of melodies, harmonies, and rhythms. Instruments dart in and out through a maze of sound, creating a web of intrigue that holds the listener captive untill the very end.
